Dário Mapsanganhe has a Physics background from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and from Universidade Eduardo Mondlane in Mozambique. Dário has an excellent understanding of the Southern African energy sector in particular Mozambique and Zambia, where he developed the 41MWp Metoro PV Power Plant and supported the development of the 54 MW Bengweulu Solar Park,respectively, both owned by the French Independent Power Producer, NEOEN. He was part of the implementation teams of the AREA 1 Liquefied Natural Gas Project in the Rovuma basin with the American multinational Anadarko and later with the French giant TotalEnergies. Currently, Dário works as a Senior Energy Advisor at GET.invest, a European programme supported by the European Union, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands and Austria, implemented by GIZ. GET.invest aims to mobilise investments in decentralised renewable energy by building a pipeline of investment-ready renewable energy projects.
