Heidi Akran
Heidi Akran is a Senior Investment Officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) based in Johannesburg. She has played leading roles in structuring investments across Europe, America and Africa, utilizing a wide array of instruments from equity to debt. In infrastructure, Heidi has been involved with investments in thermal power projects, renewal power projects, airports, military housing and water projects. Prior to IFC,Heidi spent 11 years with Balfour Beatty Capital, where she worked on equity investments, including multi-billion dollar offshore transmission projects. Heidi is a Gold Medalist of Trinity College Dublin and holds an MSc, BSC and BA from Trinity College in Structural and Civil Engineering. She is also a CFA Charter holder.
