Hoosain Essop

Hoosain Essop has 28 years’ experience in local government ESI. He has a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering (1997) from Cape Technikon and a Masters in Business Administration (2003) from the University of Stellenbosch. He is currently Manager: Electricity Retail Management at the City of Cape Town where he is responsible for electricity revenue within the City’s electricity licensed area, i.e. electricity customer database, customer electricity meters and prepaid vending system, electricity billing, credit control and revenue protection. And the electricity wheeling pilot project manager.
