Jarrod Lyons

Jarrod graduated with an MSc from the University of Cape Town before taking up a role within GreenCape, a green economy sector development agency. Jarrod has contributed to the strategic development of the investment-friendly ecosystem, now considered to be part of the Western Cape’s and South Africa’s core value proposition when attracting investment into the green economy. His exposure to industry has allowed him to be viewed as an expert in the green technology and energy space, understanding a multitude of technologies, their impact and the associated business cases to successful deployment globally. His current role as the Executive for Business Development at the Atlantis Special Economic Zone Company has seen him successfully contribute to the development of the company’s multitude of strategic goals, including, but not limited to energy and revenue generation for the entity, whilst also successfully securing investment into various developments within the entity. He continues to contribute to the development and strengthening of the investor-friendly ecosystem present in the Western Cape, with specific focus on energy and green technology.
