Dr Binu Parthan

Dr Binu Parthan is the Deputy Director for Country Engagement and Partnerships at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). Prior to IRENA, he was a Regional Adviser at Green Climate Fund (GCF), Deputy Director General at the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) and Executive Director of IT Power India. His direct energy transition and climate change experience covers over 20 countries in Asia-Pacific, Africa and Latin America.  Binu holds a Doctorate in Energy from the Technical University of Graz and Masters degrees in Renewable Energy from University of Oldenburg and Industrial-Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut.
