Matthew le Cordeur

Matthew specialises in just energy transition (JET) and sustainable development policy and financing. As JET research manager, he leads JET strategy and advisory, with an emphasis on policy analysis, stakeholder engagement and impact assessment. Through Krutham’s flagship JET and infrastructure subscription, Matthew also provides real-time insights, helping key stakeholders navigate risks and opportunities in South Africa’s energy and infrastructure sectors. Before Krutham, Matthew was Head of ESG at Trialogue, where he embedded sustainability best practices and developed integrated reporting solutions, guiding organisations in integrating sustainability into their core strategies. This consulting experience, supported by his MBA (UCT) and BA Honours (UKZN), builds on a decade-long journalism career focused on business, finance and energy reform in South Africa, notably at News24 Business.
