Mark Sims

Mark worked for Eskom in South Africa for over 30 years in various engineering and commercial roles, finishing his career as the Senior Manager responsible for Eskom’s cross-border power trading with the other Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) members and served on various SAPP committees and sub-committees.  Mark then spent four years as an independent consultant on various assignments in the energy industry in SADC, including providing training to various utilities on system operations and power trading in the SAPP.  Mark joined Solarcentury Africa in January 2022 to set up and head the power trading unit and support business development.
