Zvikomborero Garahwa is a highly motivated and enthusiastic energy engineer with over four years of experience in the power utilities industry. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Learning and Development at Nepoworx Renewable Energy in Johannesburg, Zvikomborero plays a key role in building capacity through training design, delivery and evaluation in the renewable energy sector. His responsibilities include developing and aligning training initiatives with business goals, designing instructional content, managing e-learning projects and conducting performance-based training. He leverages learning management systems, databases and evaluation tools to ensure impactful and relevant training outcomes that drive organisational performance. Prior to joining Nepoworx, Zvikomborero gained hands-on experience through engineering roles in Zimbabwe. As an Engineering Intern at Eastern Renewables in Mutare, he was instrumental in improving infrastructure design efficiency and safety. At A&B, in Chipinge, he was involved in assisting with biogas plant operations, data analysis and project research, gaining hands-on experience in sustainable energy production and waste management. He provided valuable insights into biogas technology and its environmental benefits, while developing technical and professional skills for a career in renewable energy. He also served as an Engineer in Training, focusing on transformer and busbar protection testing, PLC programming and reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) for electrical and control systems. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Power Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe and a Bachelor of Engineering in Fuels and Energy from Chinhoyi University of Technology.
