Brian Day

Brian Day is experienced in RE business development – in wind and PV. He has 31 years’ experience in technical, business development and civil society fields. He is a chemical engineer with a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management. Early work experience includes steelmaking, R&D, construction and social justice. He joined Exxaro in 2007 in project management and became part of the team that established Cennergi in 2012 as Head of Project Development and Technical Support. He later had a role in advocacy, including board roles in two industry associations. Brian has worked as Head of Implementation at the IPP Office for the Department of Energy. He is currently supporting Exxaro’s new energy initiative, Sasol and other IPPs. Lately he has supported the Energy Council and has appeared in interviews on the electricity sector in South Africa.
