Linsey was born in England, lived in Canada for 30 years and has called South Africa her home for the last 26 years. She is a business and community leader with extensive experience in African infrastructure development, mainly focused on the energy sector and in Southern Africa. She invests in renewable energy solutions in support of Africa’s lifeblood, small and medium enterprises, with an initial focus on ENDEVA Power Zambia Limited which was awarded its license to generate, supply and distribute electricity to private businesses in Zambia at the end of 2022. After starting as a hydrotechnical engineer for Canada’s largest engineering construction company, a world leader in hydropower, her career was a mix of entrepreneurship and consulting engineering, working primarily with public sector clients at municipal, national and continental levels, as well as in the mining industry, in 42 countries (34 in Africa). She is a seasoned company director, having served on/chaired boards of business chambers, a significant non-profit and well as her own companies. She works in both English and French. She was honoured to be featured recently in the Amazon international bestselling book “50 Life Lessons From Inspiring Women” by Lynn Murphy. She is passionate about initiatives which promote teenage girls accessing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).
